If I had to do this again, I would not heat the chip for over 650F and any longer than one minute. I think the problem is that I overheated the chip. After putting everything together, the radio still did not work.My heat gun was at 980F, and I did this for about 3 minutes. Next, I used some aluminum foil to protect the circuit board.Because the defective chips were found on the bottom of the board, I had to remove the board.I removed the bolts, and there was a circuit board that I was looking for.Next, I looked at the bottom of the unit, where I noticed the circuit board. After spending 30 minutes getting to the bottom of the CCC, I realized I was on the wrong path. ![]() On top are the DVD and CD drive but no circuit board I was looking for. Reading online, it said you need to start from the top.
